MONTANA SAMPLER EXCURSION

Thursday, May 30

4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

At the end of sessions on Thursday, Dr. Griggs will show off some of the best country in all of western Montana. It was not possible to get access to the ranch in the southern Bitterroot Valley where “Yellowstone” is filmed. Instead, we will board buses to head about an hour north through the stunning and picturesque Mission Valley to Polson, MT on the south end of Flathead Lake.  We will spend some time at the Kwataqnuk Resort & Casino on the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Indian Reservation. The resort is on the shore of Flathead Lake with amazing views of the lake and Mission Mountains. Dinner will be provided thanks to one of our amazing sponsors and a cash bar will be available. We will return that evening to the Music Building on UM campus.

SYMPOSIUM BANQUET

Friday, May 31

5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Friday evening, we will hold our symposium banquet in the Ballroom of the University Center on campus. A catered dinner will be served by the award-winning UM dining services. The Ballroom features great views of campus and the nearby mountains. We will begin with a social hour with 2 drinks provided per guest. After the dinner service, we will have a keynote speaker and present our awards from the golf tournaments on Wednesday. It will be a great opportunity to reflect on the sessions, socialize/network and participate in the traditional swag exchange. Please try to bring items that you think would make great swag donations from your institution.
